29 Dec 2019 - Cold, cloudy, windy, and muddy conditions were on hand for the finale in the 2019 Kansas Cyclo-Cross Season at the Grote Prijs Shawnee cyclo-cross race held at Heman Laird Park in Shawnee, KS.  Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager finished 12th in Single-Speed.  With the points scored in Shawnee, Pat S. held onto his third place overall in the Series60CX Points Series, Single-Speed category.  Check out some photos of Pat at Herman Laird Park.

19 Oct 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager finished 7th in Single-Speed at the Zondag! 'Cross race held at the Donnerdag! 06 Oct 2019 - True cyclo-cross weather (cool, cloudy, rainy, muddy) greeted the racers both days for the Prologue 'Cross weekend held at Blue Valley Park in Kansas City, MO.  Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager finished 6th Saturday and 10th Sunday in Single-Speed.  Check out some photos of Pat S. at Blue Valley Park.

29 Sep 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager had a good outing at the Castle 'Cross (or "Kasteel Veldrijden" for you Belgians) held just south of the Historic Jazz District in Kansas City, MO.  The unique, urban venue included many obsticles for the racers including racing through the namesake "Castle," the historic Kansas City Workhouse.  Pat S. had a good race, staying upright throughout the drying final race of the day to finish 11th in Single-Speed, once again scoring good points in both points series.  Check out some photos of Pat racing in historic Kansas City.

21 Sep 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager kicked off his 2019 cyclo-cross season at the Meatball 'Cross held at Jersey Creek Park in Kansas City, KS.  A couple of downpours during earlier races made for some slick and torn-up conditions in the Sinlge-Speed race at the end of the day.  Pat S. slid out a couple of times but was able to successfully ride up the steep, muddy "run-up" at the beginning of the lap three times (out of six) to finish 6th in class to score good points in both cyclo-cross points series --KBCXR and Series60CX.  Sorry, no photos of Pat at "The Meatball."

16 Aug 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's resident sprinter Pat Schlager raced in three mass-start events at the Penrose Park Velodrome in St. Louis, MO -- a 12-lap Scratch Race, a 30-lap Points Race (Missouri State Championships), and an Elimination Race.  Pat S. finished 8th in the Scratch Race, 8th in the Points Race scoring -39 points (+1 point for 4th in one of the sprints and -40 for getting lapped by the "main field" twice), and 9th in the Elimination Race.  Sorry, no photos of Pat in STL that day.

28 Jul 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager successfully defended his State Championship title with a fifth consecutive win in the 500 Meter Individual Time Trial at the Kansas State Track Cycling Championships held at the Lawrence Grass Velodrome located just outside Lawrence, KS.  Pat S. also earned a Bronze Medal in the Age Group Scratch Race.  Check out some photos of Pat on his Gold Medal ride.

23 Jul 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager finished 7th Overall in the 2019 Coach Pat's Tuesday Night Omnium Training Race Series which took place weekly from 18 June through 23 July at the "World Famous" Lawrence Grass Velodrome located just outside Lawrence, KS.  Pat S. finished 4th in the Handicap Race, 5th in the "500M" Individual Time Trial, 5th in the Points Race, 11th in the Individual Pursuit, and 7th in the Elimination Race.  Unfortunately for Pat, the opening event, the Flying Lap (one of Pat's better events), was cancelled due to rain and lightning in the area.  Check out some photos of Pat at the Lawrence Grass Velodrome.

18 May 2019 - Osceola Velo Club's Pat Schlager took advantage of the newly resurfaced Penrose Park Velodrome in St. Louis, MO for some early season training.  Pat S. drove out to St. Louis on three weekends in order to get in some laps and flying efforts on the banking of the "new" track.  Check out some photos of Pat in STL.
